Engineers can project 3D models of underway projects and passengers can check in while in line through the virtual screens.

All major tech giants such as Google, Samsung and Apple all have platforms that will readily support IoT cloud service and ease the access to and use of IoT.

Hue and cry

The Philip’s Hue lighting system has paved the way in the exploitation of internet of things in the lighting industry. The IoT-enabled system allows all manner of devices at your disposal to control your home lighting. If you have multi-colored LED lights, you can mix the colours as you please, creating an ambient mood from any of your smart devices. Though Hue is not cheap, its offers you absolute value for your money.

The competition for smart lighting features some pretty lousy remote controlled lights sold online, which painfully add to the already many remotes in your home you can get rid of through embracing internet of things. Perhaps prompted by such kind of competition, Philips had banned the use of third-party bulbs with its ingenious system. Following massive customer outcry, most of whom complained of not wanting to get rid of bulbs already bought, Philips said it would reconsider this stand.


When working with the internet of things, it is crucial to connect to all the devices that you wish to use. IoT is like a maze; there are so many possibilities but without the actual connection, there’s only so much IoT can do for you.
